Passing by and popped in for lunch. Great service. Lovely window seat - perfect for watching the world go by. Excellent service and excellent value Fixed price lunch menu. Not being a wine drinker, I thought I might be in trouble - but a small but well chosen range of beers was great (try the pale ale). Delicious salmon cerviche... More

I have been to the Farringdon branch many times in the past and have always enjoyed good food and wine from the simple menu, at reasonable prices. The recommended food-wine pairings have yet to fail me. I decided to treat my out-of-town relatives to a dinner at the Soho branch since it has more space and in a more interesting... More

I visited this restaurant with my family for the first time and will definitely go back again. There wasn't a massive menu which I like as you know it isn't microwaved and brought in. All the dishes were beautifully cooked and very tasty. A suggested wine accompanied each dish but we stuck with an Argentinian wine which was delicious.

No booking, walked in off the street on a Saturday night around 6 pm and they were able to accommodate our table for 5. We all had the blade steak which was perfectly cooked, lovely home made chips and watercress. Great bottle of Spanish wine to go with it - perfect meal after a long day shopping and walking in London.... More

Booked the previous night on line and after a few hours tromping around London we arrived at the restaurant. A great welcome, 2 adults and 2 children (5+11) simple paired back menu. We had 2 roast pork belly (declared by the 5yo as the best she'd EVER had) and 2 roast beef with the biggest Yorkshire pudding and deliciously hot... More

Food quality is always amazing combined with wines by the glass which will change all the time depending of the menu. Try the bavette - a classic which has been on the menu since they opened. Wonderful service, never too attentive but attentive enough. They know their score.

I had my family visiting me in London a few weeks ago and after a bit of shopping we headed for Soho to get some dinner. Vinoteca looked promising - nicely lit and buzzing ambience (it was a Saturday evening) so we thought we were in luck when a table was becoming free as we arrived. We each ordered a... More

Considerably overpriced starters (£11.50 for 3 scallops in some lentils) which tasted rather bland, a pork chop was £17 and came with inedible tough vegetable stalks, potatoes were an extra £3.50 per person. Some very mediocre wines on offer for around £30 a bottle. No bread/nibbles offered whilst waiting for food to arrive despite 12.5% service charge. Friendly helpful staff... More

We walked in not sure if we'd get a seat. We said we'd be quick as heading to theatre. We sat down at 6.15 and left at 7. Great service and great food. Mushroom parcel for me was really tasty. Nice ambience in the place but little in terms of festive cheer. Don't think I saw any decorations and music... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
