Went here twice. Impressed with the ambience and decor. First time was excellent, fast friendly attentive service and food - could not fault it. Second time was disappointing - very slow service, grumpy faced waiting staff, one dish overcooked, the other was good. Giving it...More

Dropped by here for Saturday morning breakfast before some serious touristing around London. Magnificent bacon and sausage roll and a good coffee, I would definitely recommend going here for your morning nibbles. Mid range in terms of price. You're on London, you're next to Drury...More

Oh. Dear. It gives me the impression that this place is trying to achieve some kind of Wiennaise, Austro-Hungarian wibe that is just not happening. The patisserie section is beyond sad and nowhere near the quality it supposed to be. The Dobos cake is some...More

Daunted by formal restaurant at about 3pm, after 12 o’clock matinee, but spotted the Counter. Most important thing to know: there are tables you can sit at, and there is table service. Everything else just flows. From a cup of tea, to a small lunch,...More

Had lunch today - pretty good with an Austrian twist - shame no Tafelspitz. Place does nice light lunches, reasonably priced for London, but with small portions. Makes a change not to get fries with everything

We went there with friends for an afternoon pre-theater tea. The Jasmine tea was tasteless whereas the Darjeeling was good. The food was average nothing to remember. Staff courteous and professional. The setting is very old England. Do not confuse the venue with the extremely...More

We treated our niece and nephew to tea at this charming coffee shop - impressive cakes, good choice of drinks and excellent service. A very enjoyable experience.

lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is
