This is my regular venue for a quick & delicious meal whenever I'm in town. Lunch time is the best value for money as one gets free homemade soup (changes everyday) plus free Chinese tea. However you wouldn't be given If you don't ask for them like a regular customer. The lobster fried with ginger & spring onion with noodle... More

This is our 'go to' Chinese restaurant as 9/10 times it's good. We always say is it 'good chef or bad chef day' because sometimes the food can be disappointing but like I said, most of the time it's good. Dim sum isn't the best as I don't think it's made by the restaurant. Service is good and the staff... More

Had dinner there today. Wonton soup followed by a small number of dim sum followed by duck on rice and char sui pork on rice. All perfect. The service was good although they were all miserable as most Chinese waiters seem to be. The only issue was that the staff shouted at each other in Chinese throughout the entire time.... More

I stopped for lunch with my eldest son. We shared the small downstairs cafe-like area with various Chinese couples all munching on steaming bowls of noodles and dumplings - a reassuring sign. None-the-less, we opted for the "Chinglish" menu. The portions while expensive comparative to outside London, were large, and the food very nice. Not just the same meat thrown... More

This is a really great little cozy restaurant with good service. I had Pak Choi with garlic sauce which I enjoy immensely. My wife had several portions of dim sum. Good location close to Leicester square station.

As an ABC from Los Angeles, I've had my fair share of Dim Sum and I think this is authentic Cantonese food and it's priced well! Came here with the family for Dim Sum. Egg tarts are delicious. Beef Cheng Fun had generous amount of meat. Free soup at the start of the meal. They also had great chrysanthemum tea... More

Came here for a catch up lunch with family. Cheap, well cooked and tasty authentic chinese food. £3 for a beer, service not the most friendly, but if you want good food and drink and don't care about ambience it's spot on.

I am regular here: great for pre or post theatre; fast service, if not the most charming. I love the wonton soup. I used to go to their old place on Shaftesbury Avenue until it closed and I like this even more. I would recommend the pepper salt prawns without shell, chicken in back bean sauce and roast pork with... More

The honey roasted pork was good but the sizzling seafood was just ok. The soups were good, piping hot and full of flavor and ground meat. Service was good. Restaurant was not packed so we got in right away.

Small and cosy early dinner..hence didnt feel the pressure or the crowd! Had crab noodles cooked with spring onion and ginger ...a choice of either soft or fried noodles..we opted for the soft. Not sure if that's restaurant practice ..but they kept on changing our small plates ...to ensure that the shells and inedible parts of the crab were promptly... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
