not as good as when they had trolleys being pushed round with lots of different dim sum. The dim sum was still delicious though. Good service.

Arrived at 8:30pm, seated fairly quickly, from then on it was like our table of 4 did not exist. Drinks order taken, 20 mins later, no drinks, then we had to grab somebody to take the food order, 30 mins later our starters arrived, the mix platter at £8 per person was way over priced for the amount of food... We were in London for a show and decided to eat at a place we used to frequent about 25 years ago, the New World. We had the cheapest set meal, which tasted good and had no problems. But all around us people were complaining about missing/incorrect dishes. Then a horde of (pre-booked) foreign tourists arrived and were swiftly served... More

Been a regular visitor to the New world over many years, howevet this time we came away a little disappointed. The food was ok, standard chinese fayre. Service was very, very slow. Not sure if we were sitting in some kind of blackspot, but there were occassions when several minutes would pass without seeing a member of staff. We waited... More

If you go to one place in Chinatown would go here: the system of waiters with trolleys of dim sum, circling the room .. it's great ... food brilliant .. stick with the dim sum ....

Terrible and lazy service. don't even know how to say sorry and don't look out for customers needs when they are all standing around playing on their phone. they are slow when you asked them for anything. please do not come or refuse to pay customer service if you want to try. gluck to you all! refuse to come again.

We used to visit this restaurant twenty years ago & I am not sure much has changed! We had 2 of the dim sum type dishes which were very good. We also had a quarter duck & a prawn crispy noodles. All the food came at once which was a bit unexpected- we thought the noodle dish would follow after... More

Don't expect glamour or much atmosphere but the food is fantastic Have the crispy chilli beef it's the best ever and lemon chicken, crispy duck pancakes, Singapore Noodles and their Dim Sum is the most authentic with trolleys at weekends Jasmine Tea to wash it down and then go to the theatre or a stroll through Soho or Covent Garden... Visited on Sunday. Very busy, waited in que and they have a good system with numbered tickets. Dim sum ok - it's not my favourite sort of food. We had crispy duck, chicken, and king prawn dishes all beautifully cooked. Very good waitresses. The tea kept coming which was nice. Clean restaurant with lips upstairs. We visited on Sunday at... Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
