Been partaking of Bar Italia's wares for over twenty years, simply put there is no equal. Coffee is by far the best there is, breakfast, lunch etc etc

Been aware of this place for many years and love the idea of it and all it stands for. So I had half an hour to kill and popped in as opposed to patronising one of its soulless chain neighbours. £3.00 for an americano isn't cheap but I wouldn't have minded had it been decent. Very bitter, made more so... More

Great coffee served quickly and not too hot, great pastries, friendly staff, child friendly. Prices not too bad for the area. The chains could learn a lot from Bar Italia.

I love this traditional Italian Bar. Has to be the finest coffee shop on London. Historical and Passionate about coffee, They also make the BEST fresh Scaloppe Milanese you have ever tasted! Well done to the Polledri family for keeping this Iconic coffee bar alive

I've been visiting this gem on and off for the past 20 years and it's always the same. Good coffee, pastries and served by authentic Italian sassy waiters. I haven't been for a few years but I'm glad to report the interior hadn't been changed, thank goodness. Had a great coffee and a Sicilian cannoli, tasty and great value for... More

If you want a big cup of froth go to Starbucks. If you want to be reminded of an authentic Italian cafe serving delicious pastries right in the centre of Soho then this is the place to go.

If you are bored from coffee chains, that serve "italian espresso" - go to real one ! Went here for first time more than 15 years ago and nothing changed at all. On first look messy place, but typical italian style coffee shop. Extremely friendly staff (bartender even propose to try pasta from his very own plate) and all you... More

Authentic slice of Italy in a great part of London. Service slick, coffee great, don't bother with the Nero across the road.

A quick expresso before shopping is always welcome. This place is a great place for coffee as everyone knows it and it's a meeting place for all types of people. The coffees good and the staff excellent. There's always a good mix of people there and if the Bar Italia Scooter club is having one of its regular meets there'll... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
