Meh...food was ok. Nothing special. But out the corner of my eye i saw a waitress go to the barman and he grabbed a glass, lash some white wine in and waitress took it away. Barman then took a second bottle of wine and "consolidate " the two...pouring wine from one bottle into another. Offputting!

I've been coming here for 39 years and I find it really astonishing that other visitors have had a bad experience. Perhaps it's an evening thing because despite numerous visits, it's always been for lunch. Given the food revolution since the late 70's, 'Bertie's' faces some stiff competition, especially since 'Fitzrovia' has became so fashionable. The formula is very much... More

This has been here for years ..... and that's because its a good standard of food, in my opinion, worth the wait ... as in Italy!! Great traditional dishes and good ambience!!

A local favourite restaurant our company uses all the time as the food and service are always up to the required mark. Best italian pasta you will find anywhere in London. .

Still going strong and always very busy whatever time of the year we visit London. There is a reason for this and it is that they serve excellent food and they are dedicated to excellent customer service.

The atmosphere is nice and you get good standard Italian food as you would expect. The portions were a good size and the location is great for continuing the evening in a local pub or bar

The food is bland and takes for ever to arrive. You will spend your entire evening stressing about when it is going to be served to you.

Had the misfortune of "dining" here on the August Bank Holiday Monday. I use the term loosely as my starter (minestrone soup) - which took 65 minutes and more than one reminder to the waitiing staff to arrive - was inedible, a glass of water has more taste. After waiting for the starters for 50 mins, I went to the... More

We booked as we had tesco vouchers to use. Nice to get bread straight away on arrival but wine very expensive. Pretty bland food and would not return. Looks like Ikea inside !

The Bertorelli's on Charlotte Street is nice as it is not as crowded as most of the other restaurants there. Which does not mean that the food is not good. Quite the opposite, it is very nice italian food. Although they ran out of some dish on the menu. Not only the food is nice, the ambiance, too. And the... More
