A stylish restaurant opposite Gloucester Rd tube set in a grand dining room. Looked a little sad for itself during the snow and frost last week, with people mopping and the ubiquitous orange plastic things warning us not to slip! Greeting at the door was...More

This place had really good service, gorgeous setting- lovely big chandeliers and very good food. I wasn't a fan of the almond halwa and don't think saffron rice worked very well with the Indian food but, otherwise, was lovely.

Popped into the restaurant in a freezing snowy day and turned out to be a buffet day. Selection of good Indian foods. Restaurant is spacious with nice decoration.

We had lunch here midweek on a snowy day. First there is perhaps no other restaurant as spacious and opulent as this one in London and second food here is as good as any top Indian in India. Their focus is regional cooking and Chef...More

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming

What do you consider expensive? It's very good and it is London so it ain't cheap, as a treat if you want to experience a high quality curry in a great atmosphere it is worth it.

Opening in 1982, Bombay Brasserie was in the vanguard of modern Indian cuisine, with an inventive approach that married classic regional cooking with a European brasserie-style menu. The spacious interior, with its airy conservatory and bright murals, extends to a welcoming bar and a more traditional dining room well suited to the affluent Kensington clientele.
