We weren't super hungry at lunch so ordered a light meal. We shared their excellent lentil soup. Then we had a minced lamb appetizer. Ok. I also thought I'd ordered a lamb dish but got hullami which was kind of weird. I'm just not a...More

Standard Lebanese fare, but with a difference in as much that each dish tasted better than the usual. The ambience and the furniture left much to be desired. Felt claustrophobic.

We are regulars here but we hadn't been in a while because I think it hit a bit of a downward patch for a while so I was a bit hesitant to return and was very pleased to see its former glory had returned! The...More

I love this restaurant. It's warm and welcoming and that's before the food. Everything was great. It's not cheap, but who can complain when the whole family is happy?

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

FFairuz restaurant in Londons Marylebone is named in tribute to Lebanon's most famous chanteuse and cultural icon - a sweet, unguarded idea that, if copied, could lead to Bob Dylan the chippie or Cliff Richard the burger bar. Fairuz the restaurant is one of London's more relaxed and intimate Lebanese restaurants, with comfortable, rustic dcor and a warm welcome. Fairuz still observes all the traditions: formal service, the instant appearance of olives and chilled salad upon arrival. But the dcor, cooking, and staff are all pleasantly flamboyant and at Fairuz there's a general bonhomie among the staff and clientele. The Lebanese cuisine bursts with Eastern Mediterranean flavours - old favourites like tabouleh, foul moukaaka, and moutabaal do new dance steps on your tongue. The raw meat starters are unmissable. Good vegetarian selection, of course, and there is complimentary fruit and baklava with coffee.
