I love this place. With so many chain restaurants in the area it is good to go somewhere that is not. I had a very good salt beef sandwich with wine. Service is good and friendly. Located by Leicester Square tube station this is worth a visit.

This place seems to have been run by elderly Iraqi brothers since the beginning of time. It is loved by many Londoners and indeed there was a big campaign a few years ago when it looked as if Gaby's was going to be forced to close in order for developers to wreck yet another part of the city. Its future... More

When I first came across Gaby's, I thought, great a deli close to my local haunts. However, the clerk who served me went out of his way to be as rude as possible and I'll now never set foot in here again... Well done that man!

I really can't find a better description for the food than ''edible''. It is charmless food made without love, the microwave timer constantly ringing, delivering the falafels for which apparently this place is famous, but which in fact are just dry things, accompanied by tasteless, flat and garnishless hummous. The rest was from the same book: a spiceless, underseasoned, watery... More

My date took me for lunch as he knew I liked independent restaurants. I loved the selection of food but chose a salt beef sandwich. The bread was really fresh and full of flavour (caraway I think?) it was stuffed full of succulent delicious salt beef with juicy pickles on the side. Best salt beef sandwich I've had in years... There may be better falafels and salt beef, I wouldn't know. But for a bewildering range of salads and dips and all, and for an atmosphere which used to be far commoner 20, 30, 40 or more years ago, I don't think Gaby's can be beaten. Sort of New York, sort of hippy, sort of Levantine, you can leave hipster... More

If you check my reviews you will see I very rarely give one star but this was absolutely disgraceful. I mentioned it immediately to the waiter, no response. Called him over having tasted it, it WAS awful, still no attempt to put things right. Another waiter and still just a shrug of the shoulders. I got the bill, fully charged... More

Great food and good prices, always visit here before a trip to a West End theatre or cinema. I particularly enjoy the falafels and salad.

If you want a quick bite before a show, Gaby's is it. Simple non elegant venue in the heart if theatre lland. Mediterranean fast food that is really excellent especially good for vegetarians. Very popular so you may have to wait to be seated.
