Very nice restaurant, good and quick service and really tasty fish and chips. We went there after reading about it in trip advisor and it was a great choice. You get to eat the traditional English dish at its best! Highly recommended.

Went for lunch on the off chance as it looked popular and the fish and chips looked inviting when I looked through the window. I wasn't disappointed. The quality fish had just the right amount of thin ,crispy batter on it and like the chips it was not greasy in the slightest. The waitress' were pleasant and efficient. Overall excellent... More

First went here around ten years ago when it was smaller and had retained its original décor. Now much bigger and under new ownership, but the fish and chips are just as good and just as authentic. Full of tourists, but at least they're tasting real fish and chips.

This bustling restaurant offers perfectly cooked, traditional fish and chips. Service is excellent and the quality of the fish together with real chipped potatoes Is just outstanding. Freshly cooked to order I had Rock Salmon and it did not disappoint; tasty flaky fish in a light crispy batter. Portions are large so couldn't sample the range of excellent puddings! Best... More

Our friends from abroad wanted to eat British fish and chips so we took them to this restaurant which used to be an old personal favorite. It has recently had a change of management, so now one has to reserve a table. The place looks no different- same old fashioned wooden chairs and tables, tightly arranged in a limited space.... It is believed to be one of the best fish&chips restaurants of London. We were not disappointed: fish was not too greasy, chips were crispy, Service was nice and quick. Great place.

This low-key place was recommended by several friends (ex-pats) who had lived in London for several years. PLAIN and BASIC - not particularly atmospheric, no tablecloths BUT lovely service, lively crowd (including lots of locals) and great fish and chips. Don't go if you are looking for a diverse menu or a special night. Just good fish and chips! They... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
