This is a music venue not a restaurant. 2 stages as others have said, upstairs and smaller cellar area which holds only 25. Small intimate and friendly, really close to the action. Good sound in the cellar, worth visiting.

Basement bar was full with 25 people in it. The musicians were excellent. The atmosphere was great. The staff and the whole place was really friendly. Nice bar snack available. We will definitely go again if we get chance NB its a music venue not a restraurant

We were first in the queue - had to wait until 7:25 to get in. Got a table near the small stage - just like in your own front room! Felt like a session with a bunch of mates. Food is veggie light bites. Great fun evening.

One of the best small venues for live music anywhere in the country. If you love folk, blues, country and jazz this is the place for you.

The Green Note has two music bars, the main room and the basement, both tiny and cramped by any sensible standards and equipped with what looks like second-hand furniture. Food is vegetarian and limited. The attraction is the music - you are close up to an incredibly wide range of musicians - and the atmosphere and involvement is fantastic. I... More

Ive been here twice now - once to seen the fabulous Hot Rock Pilgrims bluegrass group and the second time over the weekend for a 40th birthday party. Both experiences were great - although small the acoustics are fab and the staff helpful and attentive. Even with a power cut at the birthday party the candles were out and the... More

Its no wonder this amazing venue won the "Best Live Music Venue " reader poll via Time Out. With just 30 seats and a total capacity of 65 , its a wonderfully intimate space where the evening is all about the music. Last night we had the pleasure of seeing three artists live: Harry Pane - Gravelly, high-energy bluesman with... More

Hadn't heard of this place before. We were invited by a friend of Ramon Goose, one half of the West African Blues Project, who were playing this evening. The venue is small, and a bit frayed at the edges, but none the worse for that. About 50/60 crammed in to watch the band (who were absolutely outstanding). There is a... More

I returned with my wife & oldest daughter to see Hafdis Huld at this wonderful little venue. This cosy venue really makes seeing your favorite musicians and discovering new ones a real pleasure. The staff were as last time very friendly and helpful, The food was fantastic and I really enjoyed The Green Notes own organic ale. Look forward to... More

Went to see Yvonne Lyon at Green Note last Monday while visiting friends in London. Previously we have gone to Dublin Castle to listen to live music before but it was the first time at this venue. Nice intimate place that is pretty well situated, only 5 min walk from the Camden Town tube station. We will remember to check... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Famous for its sprawling cluster of markets and shops as well as for an embrace of all things counter culture, Camden offers a concentrated version of London street life. From bargain shopping and people watching to rubbing elbows in its abundance of pubs and bars, Camden is the place to be for many a Londoner. It is also home to some of the hottest live music venues in Europe. As packed as Camden High Street and its tributaries can get during the weekends, this neighbourhood is right next to some of the city's most beloved outdoor spaces, namely Regent's Park and Primrose Hill.
