We visited La Trompette for a friend's birthday dinner and were not disappointed. Great service and the starter of scallops with shaved truffle was fantastic. The sommelier was a lovely touch also. Highly recommend for a fantastic dinner to remember.

Fantastic food, with friendly, professional service in a relaxed atmosphere. I had the crab linguine and suckling pig - highly recommended!

This is an amazing restaurant, we had dinner on a Sunday night which is fairly quiet. The food was as good as anything we have ever eaten! We shared Cotes de Bouef for our main and it was simply awesome. Perfectly cooked with a simple...More

Our request to enjoy a meat-free version of the tasting menu (with wine flight) was thoughtfully accommodated. Both kitchen and sommelier went the extra mile to give us a thoroughly enjoyable meal. The food was superb with (mainly) excellent wine pairings. Service was attentive and...More

Family celebratory meal tonight. We all took the tasting menu and the food was so good that we could not agree on what was the best course. Simply outstanding from start to finish

It's rare that food like this is combined with friendly, down to earth service. La Trompette sounds like it's going to be up itself, but our late lunch was attended to in a warm and natural way. The food is rich, perfectly proportioned and delicious....More

This is a very upscale, white-table-cloth restaurant with impeccable service. Six of us had dinner here and the food was amazing. The meal ranked among the best I've ever had. I can't imagine how the meal could have been improved.

Birthday celebration dinner so we both went for the tasting menu less the recommended wines. Absolutely outstanding tastes and variety. Our only thoughts which we wanted to share, concern the ambience and almost clinical approach to service. All very pleasant but zero empathy and it's...More

Thank you. Have looked at the one on line and it all looks very fishy 😬

Considering my remarks about refusal to exchange normal to fish cutlery when a fish dish is ordered, the reply of La Trompette still is missing. This restaurant is located in Europe. If this experience would have happened to me in non-European countries, I would not have dared to ask for them. After all, La Trompette is not a McDo where you certainly don't expect it.

Frankly fish cutlery has become less and less fashionable even in top restaurants....also a good dishwasher does the job. Quality of products, cooking and service is more important.

Description
La Trompette opened in 2001 and serves some of the best food in London but without the formality or prices associated with the capital’s top end establishments. We closed at the beginning of 2013 for a complete refurbishment, and have expanded to include a brand new kitchen, private dining and improved customer facilities. The new appearance has not changed the focus of the restaurant. The aim is as it always has been, to give all our guests the best possible dining experience from start to finish.
