Tucked away among the tourist pubs of Soho, this restaurant features a limited, varying menu of creative French classics using fresh ingredients. Splendid food, excellent wine list, lovely atmosphere. A romantic sanctuary. Just don't come in asking for a lager!

This is a gem right off of Carnaby St in London. The lower floor is a wine bar with outside seating as well. Upstairs is a restaurant serving fresh seasonal fair. The food is well presented and tasty. We had fresh asparagus , which was never prepared better. My wife had the chicken and I had the beef. Both prepared... More

We stopped here to have an appetizer after a long walking around London. Waiters are polite and help you choosing your wine. At the beginning we thought to stay here only for drink but at the end we had a complete dinner. Nice solution in a friendly and warm place. Food is good and made at the moment. I'd like... More

We ended up in Antidote whilst looking for somewhere for a quiet drink before attending a show at a local theatre. The pubs in the locality were all heaving (it was the evening before good friday) and therefore we were delighted to find Antidote with its great wine selection and lovely nibbles (we shared a platter of parma ham and... This restaurant/wine bar is one of the nicest places in London! Very friendly personnel, original and tastefull dishes, and a great atmosphere. What else do people need? Off course, wine! And that's exactly wherein they shine. Must do in London, you'll be amazed. ** photo is of the dessert

I visited Antidote last night with a friend of mine. We just wanted to sit down and have a glass of wine, so we sat at a table outside. My friend then decided to only have sparkling water with a slice of lemon and I ordered a white wine spritzer. The waitress was extremely rude, when I ask for the... More

We loved Antidote. It's has a menu packed full of the best organic biodynamic and artisanal wines complemented by amazing fresh food expertly prepared and served. The service is excellent and nicely tucked away off the main stream of the tourist eatery. Take the time telex and enjoy

We were looking for a place to have a drink whilst waiting for a fourth member of the party to join us. We found a cosy little wine bar just off Carnaby Street that was perfect. Although it was pretty full the manager asked if we'd mind waiting as he knew some of his regulars were about to move on.... More

Antidote is truly one of my favourite places in town: great food, even better wines. I often stop by and buy a bottle of wine here on my way from work: never disappointed. Until now... So... I walk in yesterday to buy a bottle for my husband and me and immediately get help from the bartender. He is lovely but... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
