Visited for a monthly curry club session with mates. Thought the starters were excellent but the main tikka masalas were a little dry (being pretty picky as they tasted good). Only down side was my stomach throughout the night and morning...

Visited Lahore on Saturday night with a large group of friends, had about 10 different dishes between us and all of them were different and tasted excellent, service was outstanding and everything was served together and hot. Will definitely be returning in the very near future---5 stars *****

Came to lahore restaurant with few girlfriends for dinner, we had a selection of dishes from menu, the food was so tasty! And we brought our own bubbly drinks which is fab, these can add up to so much £££ :) Great evening, will be returning soon!

After an afternoon meeting a group of about 20 of us came here for an evening meal. The very helpful staff let us bring a large bag of beers in as they are not a licences restaurant, and then helped us choose a selection of starters to share and then main courses. I really enjoyed everything I tried and would... More

This was my first experience of Lahore Kebab house. It is an East End institution, lying some blocks (perhaps 10) north of the Aldgate and East Aldgate tube stops on Commercial Street. My host has come here over the years for many years. He took us there to see the way that they toss the tandoori roti to your table... More

Every time I have been to LKH I have had a great time sampling the different dishes. I was first taken there by some pakistani friends who missed their grandma's cooking! It's a pretty no frills place, but it is such a relaxed atmosphere that this doesn't detract from the experience. I always judge a restaurant on its bread and... More

We came here at Christmas for my work meal and the food is very good. There is a lot of choice and all the food is spiced and seasoned well. The decor is basic but there are many tables upstairs and downstairs.

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
