Just around the corner from our hotel so we read the reviews and booked a table, lovely place with good service and the burgers were superb, desserts were very pricey so we didn’t partake but the mains were very well priced for the portion size....More

Lucky enough to work upstairs from here. Popped in this week for a work lunch. Totally spot on. Helpful team, lovely good, reasonable prices. Give it a shot! Then pop upstairs to say hello!

This was a nice restaurant with lovely food. I had the wellington for my mains which was gorgeous. Nice wine on offer also.

Great welcome matched by first class food and drink, all at a reasonable price. The venison wellington was flavoursome and filling but thankfully just enough room for what has to be the best Bakewell tart I have ever tasted. Likewise the chicken was succulent and...More

We had a lovely dinner here with friends. The Wellington which we ordered as a main was just sublime and the service was great! A lovely pub with great atmosphere and excellent British food.

Sorry about the lateness of this response, only just seen it. This place is without doubt a romantic restaurant. The staff is fairly unobtrusive and you can disappear into your own bubble very easily.
