Visited this little gem with some friends for a spur of the moment dinner out. What a treat. I ordered the ox cheek which was to die for, my wife had the steak which was perfectly cooked and really good quality meat. The couple with...More

This is in the top three most favorite restaurants in London. It's pricey but provides excellent fish. If you are looking for a local restaurant that supplies very fresh fish cooked in a bed of tasty vegetables, this is your restaurant.

The wet fish café at first looks like any other restaurant. The humorous name and the small interior (be prepared to hear your neighbors’ conversation, every table is close to the next) and the quality of food attract enough people to make it really crowded....More

We went with friends who highly recommended this restaurant. Originally there were 6 but unfortunately one couple couldn’t come due to illness. We were greeted with as no show by 2 there would be a charge of £20. However as they were able to sell...More

I asked for a table for 3 and was promptly shown to a table. My guests were late arriving but instructed me to order. I chose the breakfast salad. Well presented and ingredients were of a good quality. The flat white coffee was to a...More

A great blend of art, music and food awaits you at this spot. When you walk into an establishment and the first song you hear is Black Gold of the Sun by Nuroyican Soul, you know you’re onto a winner. Currently a photo exhibition of...More

We had the fish specials which exceded expectations. The service was good, but we felt rushed. I was hoping for a welcoming warm smile. Perhaps the staff just had a bad day...

We've eaten here on several occaasions. Always good, some great early bird deals. Often eat here before or after visiting the Tricycle theatre in nearby Kilburn. Five minutes walk from Thameslink Station. I love the scallops and the fresh fish. The ambience and decoration is...More

Description
Cafe by day and brasserie by night, The Wet Fish Cafe is perfect for cosy, romantic meals or lazy weekend brunches. Set in one of London's historic 'wet fish' shops in West Hampstead, the original Art Deco wall tiles and eclectic interior create a warm, neighbourly atmosphere. Good music, serious cocktails and the Wet Fish Cafe's own brand of "modern comfort food", the seasonally changing menu is short and offers freshly cooked fish, meat and veggie dishes. The Early Bird menus offer excellent value (on tables returned by 8pm and all evening every Monday).
