Dined here post theatre/ pre theatre on Weds 19 April. Fantastic service and delicious food! This is a west end institution which never fails to delight! Many thanks to the excellent restaurant manager,Alain. Always accommodating, friendly and more importantly totally in tune with an appreciative clientele. Thank you for a wonderful relaxed evening.

Nice atmosphere, good menu choices and well cooked. Both a la carte and set menus with good range of Italian food. Very much worth a visit. Will go again

For years and years I have wanted to go to Orso. I went last week and what I learned was: you should go round the corner to Balthazar or Joe Allen's instead. The service was excellent, friendly, prompt, well-informed, not at all intrusive. We had a lovely bottle of Montepulliciano (which was probably spelled correctly, as opposed to my effort)... More

Venue was fabulous. Food was excellent. Service was great to begin with but as restaurant emptied the staff were less attentive. Staff in aprons could only clear tables and serve whereas the official waiting staff could take orders. System didn't work very well and we waited a long time for drinks. We would definitely go again as whole experience was... More

Went for an unexpected business lunch in this basement hidden away treasure house in Covent Garden and found myself having one of the most enjoyable meals of the week. Caesar salad to start was crunchy and garlicky with tasty croutons and lots of anchovies. Had the steak to follow served with a rocket and Parmesan salad. The steak had a... More

I took my Mum here for a birthday meal after seeing other great reviews and we weren't disappointed. This is a lovely restaurant. We visited on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy and had a lovely atmosphere. The restaurant has a nice ambiance to it. I really like the food at Orso and they generally allow you to sit at your table for as long as you like. There are good choices in the set menu, and their house wine is very drinkable. I particularly like the à la carte liver and seabass. Look out for the free champagne in January!

went to this restaurant after reading the good reviews on trip adviser and we were not disappointed. We were made to feel very welcome, the atmosphere and food were very good and at a reasonable price for London. We were treated to a glass of bubbly upon arrival as it was our anniversary and an ice cream dessert with Happy... More

A nice place to go for dinner in the winter but not when it's sunny outside during the summer months This is because the restaurant is downstairs in a basement. The service is good and the ambience nice - the food average to good Next to the Lyceum theatre

Description
The finest Italian cuisine comes to Covent Garden. Opened in October 1985, Orso is a wonderful restaurant in the heart of London's West End. From the beginning, the aim was to bring authentic Italian cuisine to Covent Garden and Orso delivers. Orso takes pride in using only the freshest and finest ingredients such as extra virgin olive oil, arugula, puntarelle, porcini mushrooms, buffalo mozzarella and white truffles, when in season and sourced in Italy. But it is not just about the ingredients; each meal is prepared to perfection, served on hand-painted Italian tableware designed by Designers Guild, and accompanied by a selection of fine Italian wines. Orso is the perfect destination for the London diner, offering bustling but attentive service, a lively atmosphere and a tempting menu.
