The money I spend at Pied a Terre is the best money I spend all year. The food is simply wonderful and the service attentive. I let the sommelier chose our wine to match each individual course and he always comes up with intriguing selections which match perfectly. The lunch menu is great value.

Visited for our 10 course tasting menu which we were recommended by word of mouth. Lovely restaurant, small but intimate and a nice ambience. Food throughout each course was very nice. Wine was very tasty and complimented the dishes. When we came to end of our meal we finished with our final dishes and tired to request the bill but... More

We had a excellent meal last night with great attention to detail. The meal was very well paced and demonstrated a light touch with innovation. The vegetarian options were well thought out and offered a real alternative for my wife. The sommelier was charming and knowledgeable with a very infectious enthusiasm. We would strongly recommend this restaurant.

Whilst staying on Charlotte Street .. unexpectedly found this cute little Restaurant and what a find. Great service, amazing food ... quality over quantity. The Pembrokeshire Crab was so delicate with champagne .. then the Poached and seared Foie Gras in Sauternes Consommé was to die for. Fresh bread, wonderful cheese topped off by Oliver's (sommelier) great choice of wines.... More

Visited when it had two Michelin stars. Exceptional food and setting. When they served us the wrong fish main course, they handled the matter perfectly by telling us to eat the dish served whilst they prepared the dish ordered, without extra charge. One of the best meals that we have had. Reasonably priced.

We have been going to Pied a Terre since our friend, artist Anna Freeman Bentley, was artist-in-residence there. It is simply a great place. It is haute cuisine, nouvelle style, but with heart. Over the past 20 years, we've been to enough three Michelin Star places to do us for a lifetime. We have reached the point that we just... More

I love this review. You totally get it and describe it beautifully. So much so, I almost feel compelled to quote you when we're asked for background music or we're told the portions are too small or too rich, too complicated in flavours etc etc. Thank you. Kind regards, David (send my regards to Anna when you see her) More

My wife and I went for lunch yesterday as we had visited an exhibition at the British Museum, it was our first time at this restaurant. Perceptions: (1) Sublime service. (2) Really good food. I had a lamb sweetbread starter that was exceptional. We've been lucky enough in eat in lots of Michelin starred restaurants, Pied a Terre is right... More

Thank you for your feedback - nice tip too. (Table 12 is the most popular in the restaurant). Very glad it was worth the stroll to Fitzrovia to pay us a visit. Hope to see you again soon, David More

First time to L'Autre Pied's 'bigger' sibling. Decor was a little old fashioned but verging on charming and the restaurant had plenty of ambiance. Service was super friendly and jovial - treated you like a member of their family. Wide variety of wine with a very knowledgable sommelier. As for the food - simply stunning - every single morsel. We... More

Love it - 'new favourite restaurant'! I guess that's tipped the scales on little sister L'Autre Pied, but we don't mind. It's really nice to hear diners who have experienced both restaurants as they are quite different and it throws up some interesting and unexpected opinions. I'm sure you're signed up for the enewsletters which have subscriber-only offers for both... More

My son & I have been eating at Pied a Terre regularly for a few years & came for a midweek lunch after an enforced absence of six months. We were delighted to see all the old front of house faces still in place. Ambience & decor are a matter of individual taste, but I love the coziness of both... More

A beautifully written and knowledgable review. It is a pleasure to read and highly informative for diners who don't yet know us or don't know us so well. I've passed to the team to read as it will always brighten their day. A big thank you! David More

Me and my wife both had the truffels tasting menu. All the courses were so good and the wine pairing exquisite. This is how it should be when you have high expectations. Top service from start to end, great presentation of the food and wine and nice environments. The restaurant is quite small but not noisy at all and actually... More

Description
Located in Fitzrovia, the heart of the West End, Pied a Terre is one of the capital's most established fine dining, Michelin-starred restaurants. Although established in 1991, it has been under the guidance of David Moore since 1998 and has gone on to gain some of the highest gastronomic awards and accolades possible. Beautifully appointed and radiating modest quality, the restaurant is charmingly intimate. As you expect, the service is professional yet discreet in order to maintain a relaxed atmosphere. For larger parties, the second floor private dining room seats up to 13 guests and comes with butler style service at no extra cost. Diners can also enjoy the exclusive bar on the first floor for drinks and canapes or exclusive wine tasting events. The cuisine is both simple and inventive, with care and attention to detail as the focus. Combine this dining experience with the outstanding selection of wines, and you have a match made in heaven.
