Stopping in a hotel nearby we fell upon this little bistro. Simple, home cooked European food, and friendly service. Well priced wine list. A very pleasant evening, would happily return.

We returned to Pimlico as a bit of a pilgrimage. We had eaten here 23 years ago. The place had not changed much and the food was still very good. Dishes are simple, well cooked, and generous.

I stumbled across this little restaurant as I had booked an hotel about 100 yards away and not being familiar with the area I strolled down the road and found this quaint little place amongst about 4 others and a pub. This one took my fancy as they had a varied menu. Once inside you are struck by the rustic... More

The food experience has been just ok, average I would say. Menù doesn't have good vegetarian options but overall the food is cooked fine. Price in the medium high tier...maybe too pricey. Very disappointing manager: after paying a quite expensive bill we ask for any freebie and she refused in a very rude way. Felt unwelcome, unwanted and I think... More

We went to Grumbles for my dads birthday on a Monday evening. They were wonderful throughout, the food was great, the service was welcoming and friendly. As it was Monday (No corkage fee on BYOB) we bought a bottle of champagne and they even provided us with champagne glasses. Highly recommend either for relaxed evening out or an occasion.

I've enjoyed a very nice dinner with my family in this characteristic and nice british restaurant close to Belgrave Road in Pimlico. We tried a number of dishes on the menu and the quality of the food was always good. The hamburger, in particular, was succulent and very well cooked. The service has been impeccable.

We discovered Grumbles by walking around the Victoria/Pimlico area, and wouldn't have stopped in had it not been for the display board outside advertising the early dinner/pick 2 feature. This is a small neighborhood place with big flavor. The chicken pie was incredible. I don't know where their ice cream is from, or if they make their own, but it... More

We enjoyed an delicious meal one Monday evening, while visiting London. We had the early evening set menu which was fantastic value at £11.95 for two courses. On a Monday evening you can also take your own wine, which made the meal even better value. We both had the plaice, which was beautifully cooked and came with a lovely salad... More

You open the big heavy wooden door and you immediately know this is a locals place! The prawns, escargots, pasta, and steak dishes were well prepared, full of flavor, and had all of us wishing for more... Definitely a neighborhood spot, ask for a spot upstairs and you won't be disappointed!

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
