I have very often enjoyed dining at this hotel restaurant with family & friends. We have celebrated many special occasions here & so I had no hesitation in booking the Christmas Afternoon tea on the 24th December to celebrate my husbands 50th birthday. We were a party of 4 adults, 1 teen & 1 child. The setting was beautiful as... More

The restaurant is beautifully sited in the atrium of the hotel. Furnishings are opulent, and tables are sited with lots of space around them. There were eight of us and service was polite, pleasant and fairly prompt. The menu catered for all tastes and the food was beautifully presented, delicious and enjoyed universally by all of us. This is high-end... More

Great atmosphere with the pianist playing in the background. The menu had a few pleasant surprises which seemed very popular -burgers with other tables. The portions were very generous. This is a great venue to watch the world go by with a very reasonable priced menu.

Thoroughly impressed with the staff here and could not fault them in the slightest, so friendly and attentive. Starters were tasty but not as nice as I thought they would be. Beef croquette was nicely cooked, mushroom soup tasted slightly odd. I had the sea bass as a main which was incredibly salty and the skin was way too crispy.... More

Delightful afternoon tea in the great room of the hotel. The architecture is palatial. Good service. Food (sandwiches, scones, cakes) is nice, tea is perfect. Dishes could have been a little more surprising considering the price (£55).

The breakfast is an all inclusive buffet which includes mini eggs benedict and eggs florentine, an omelette station and hot and cold selection. There are at least 6 different freshly squeezed juices and smoothies plus lots of pastries and cakes. The service is excellent.

Elegant surroundings in this historic building, built in the days when our railway system was burgeoning throughout this Island. Highly professional staff and and a peaceful serene atmosphere. The food is glorious and the restetaunt a relaxing haven from the busy London streets outside. With gentle piano music echoing around; I might have been in Rick's bar in Casablanca. The... More

Sadly this was ok but did not live up to expectations. There was a disappointing lack of formality and presentation eg sandwiches were served already plated up and clearly just out of the fridge. Staff were polite and pleasant but not always easy to understand. There was a harpist when we arrived but we soon noticed a rather limited repetoire... More

Its was our first time and we we're impressed by the service and food. The atmosphere was great, totally satisfied. The sandwiches we're really good we loved it. However, we are not too keen on the selection of sweet things. It might not be our taste, we still love it here. we will come back.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
