Found the room rather small and impersonal. Our tea was very weak and some of the sandwiches were dry. These must have been made early in the day as were wrapped in cling film. Some of the cakes were very dry. The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient just a shame the food let's them down. Do not think... More

I attended for afternoon tea with 4 guests as a mothers day treat for my mother. It is with disappointment that I wanted to draw attention to the negative side of the dining experience which was around the extremely inefficient service on the day which was extremely poor. On arrival, myself and my guests were seated and from there, what... More

My husband was given a Virgin Experience voucher for his birthday for afternoon tea with champagne for 2 a Courthouse Hotel. As we've been to the one near Oxford Circus and were a bit disappointed we thought we would try the one in Shoreditch. So we booked a couple of weeks ahead of time. At the time we booked, we... Booked afternoon tea for two whilst we were visiting London. It was a lovely experience. Hotel is down a quaint street right next to Liberty of London. Service was great, not rushed at all... There was plenty of food and the champagne added to the experience. Only comment is they have too many sweet items that you end up feeling... More

My wife and I had a lovely afternoon tea at the Courthouse hotel. We had a Virgin Experience voucher and were not sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. There was a nice room at the front of the hotel where the tea is served. We had a glass of champagne to start, then had the tea. Great selection... More

Booked here for a reunion/friend's birthday on a Sunday afternoon for afternoon tea. When the food arrived (cakes first? Then sandwiches) it as awful. The sandwiches were dried and must have been made either the night before or early that morning. The chocolate mousse was so old that it had an off-brown crust. We asked for the tea and it... More

Absolutely lovely restaurant, with very good service. Despite letting the restaurant know prior to my visit, they failed to cater adequately to the needs of a dairy free meal. Instead of using dairy free butter, there was no butter in the sandwiches. Instead of making dairy free clotted cream, and dairy free scones, there were no scones or clotted cream.... More

I visited with my parents, having reserved online through 'Book a Table', as there was a large menu available with lots of choice, for after seeing Cinderella at the London Palladium. We arrives about 15 mins early, and the waitress showed us to our table. We were the only table occupied in the restaurant. We noticed the menu was different... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
