It is Notting Hill, what do you expect? Small portions, not too small though. Tasty plates, nothing extraordinary. The restaurant is clean, the presentation is nice, the atmosphere is OK. Prices are average, only two tables have a street view and half the sitting area...More

This had been my favorite Indian spot my last time in London, so we obviously had to return. It's quite a bit more posh than I remember, but the Prawns Malabar did not disappoint. We enjoyed our dinner very much.

I was excited to visit this restaurant because of what a friend had told me. I went for dinner with 2 family members and got the shock of my life. The head waiter/manager met looking very grumpy, almost annoyed. He was like that right up...More

Delicious! We came here for dinner, and had papadums, garlic naan, basmati rice, lamb chops, dahl, some chicken curry with lime and mint, raita, cauliflower, okra, and spinach. Everything was very tasty, except the raita which tasted a little bit like glue. Service was okay....More

I'm sorry to say that this was the worst Indian food I have experienced. In fairness, the food was better when I went to the restaurant (compared to delivery this time) but it can't have changed that much in the five minutes it takes to...More

I was very disappointed. We ordered three currys and some sides through Deliveroo. When they arrived they were cold and more disappointingly, the portion sizes were tiny. The take away containers were barely half full, so basically we paid full price for a half portion,...More

The food in Malabar is excellent - not too heavy, or greasy or overly creamy. Portion sizes are good. Tastes are clean and fragrant. Nothing is overly spiced - unless you ask for this. The flavours of good, fresh ingredients come through clearly. The waiters...More

I returned to Malabar Restaurant after a number of years. The high standards endure to give a fine dining experience and such tasty food. The salads could not be fresher. The staff are very friendly. Everywhere is clean and sharp and the decor still cuts...More

I've been here a few times, and love this place. It is the best indian food I've had and really well presented, and a charming neat restaurant tucked behind Notting Hill tube in a nice quiet street. We usually end up sharing a variety of...More
