They managed to feed fourteen of us when we originally said we were going to be eight. So hats off to you gentlemen. You did us proud.

After a few drinks in the nearby pubs, we headed to the Rajasthan for dinner. The best curry I've ever had. Every dish was fantastic and the service is amazing also.

Always get a decent curry at the Rajasthan, the service is very quick, the food is very good and not too expensive for the city, complementary aperitif always goes down well as well.

I eat here on average 1.34 times a week and have the same thing every time - their Chicken Tikka Naga Special (not on the menu - mention me) with peas rice and about 38 popadoms. Obviously I am overweight and stink of garlic, but I wouldn't have it any other way. If the staff ask you if you want... More

We came here Friday night and won't be coming back- we have been a few times previously and the foods always ok but the atmosphere is never great, but my group al;l fancied an Indian so we decided to bite the bullet, but I so wish we hadn't as we could have spent a quarter of the money we spent... If you could give a 0* rating on Tripadvisor this is what I would give Rajasthan. It started on a bad note when the waiters came over every 2 minutes to try to force us to order when we were waiting for a friend and when they weren't coming over we were getting dirty looks! If the place was even... More

There is a very wide choice of dishes on the menu and the food was enjoyable, albeit the prices reflected the City of London location. However, it was all little different from countless other good curry houses. So a good choice if you are in the area, but not worth a special trip.

Staff were rude and blunt. really pushy to order while we were still waiting for others to arrive... food was ok but over-priced... I've had better food for less. we were placed downstairs and there was no network coverage or wifi available. I definitely wouldn't go back.

Description
"A new Indian restaurant near to the Walrus and the Carpenter bound to be popular with City boys and girls. An airy restuarant with lots of flowers, plants and Indian paintings and a distinct lack of flocked wallpaper. Charming, friendly waiters are happy to recommend authentic Indian dishes and steer you away from the prawn cocktail de nos jours, the chicken tikka masala - although that's available to unwavering fans.

What's cooking?

Traditional Indian dishes including all the classics as well as more unexpected items such as mugh-E-Tandoori, a whole poussin or lamb phal, an extra hot dish.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
