This is a nice foody pub in an upmarket residential area but the prices were reasonable, service was good, beer selection ok, and I enjoyed the ambience on a cold winter night.

The food was good and the choice of food wasn't too bad. The service was quick and efficient. The only negative remark - it was very loud and you couldn't hear yourself think. But the place was full of young people.

Warm friendly staff welcome you into this establishment. Just hidden not far off Kensington High Street in a quiet location. We telephone to reserve a table on a Sunday afternoon which is advisable. There were some spaces at tables for walk in drinkers and diners. The pub is very clean and the staff polite and very helpful. We all had... More

Have been here several times and service is always relaxed and fast. Steak pie was fantastic. Pastry was crisp and stayed that way for the whole meal! Steak was great quality and tender. Looking forward to coming back.

I wandered into Builders Arms while exploring the area with friends. I had the Shropshire chicken which was delicious! The relaxed atmosphere and friendly bar team made it a new favorite place to enjoy a meal and pint when visiting London.

Been coming to the builders on an off for twenty years. It's changed hands, been up and down, but never bad. (It's currently on the up). Usually you can get a seat. It's cosy, staff always great. Food decent, beer and cider selection well thought out. A great local.

Big thanks to Luis, Kevin and all the staff for a great New Year....the food and service were amazing, lovely clientele and a traditional Auld Lang Syne to end the evening - once we explained what it was! Really welcoming place, and a great location. Debs PS Thanks for the reindeer!

We booked the Builders Arms for a pre Christmas concert lunch primarily because it is very convenient for the royal Albert Hall. What a great choice it turned out to be! This is a very cosy gastro pub located in a lovey area. A warm welcome awaited us, the food and service was fabulous. The staff outstanding. Our party of... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
