We read good reviews of this pub, which was rated above the other 2 in the vicinity of where we were staying. We had the fish & chips, sausages with mash, and the 28 day aged rib eye steak. The fish was average based on...More

Visited this highly acclaimed establishment on a surprisingly mild late November evening. Despite it being a Tuesday night, I could tell that spirits were generally high, drinks were flowering and good conversation was rife. As things were progressing higher on the debauchery scale, at circa...More

I've been here a couple of times, and it always amazes me how busy it is for its location. It is just ever so slightly out of the way, but minutes from Kensington High Street or Gloucester Road, but each time I've been it has...More

The exterior of this pub in a quiet neighbourhood with its small garden and flowering window boxes enticed us in and we were so glad it did so. A great choice of beers with an excellent lunch of fish and chips (what else in our...More

I used the top floor of the Builders Arms for a gathering one Sunday. The staff were so helpful before and during the event. We were allowed to leave goodie bags at the venue a few days before and they let us in before the...More

Walked by this pub a time or two on my way to my "regular" haunt, but decided to stop in for a change of pace. Great decision! Luis treated me like a regular and takes pride in his work. A very proper pour of my...More

There's nothing like having a proper Guinness outside of the old country. Thanks for the kind words and we'll let Luiz know the kind props you gave him.

South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque
white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's
easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with
superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and
Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely
child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to
mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall)
such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming
