We brought a crowd here after a Rugby lunch in town, great way to finish off a good day with good quality ale for the men and good choice of wine and spirits for the ladies. Staff so helpful - rearranged tables to get us seated together and the food that came our was gratefully received. A favourite of ours... More

Great spot to stop for Sunday lunch when near Kings Cross. Nice atmosphere; popular but a bit of a secret location! One to track down as servings are very generous and overall great value for money. Service is quirky but pretty efficient.

I visited for Sunday lunch with a group of friends and overall the meal was fine but nothing special (good gravy and yorkshires, poor roast potatoes and food not all that hot when it arrived). The service was a bit lacking, the bar staff seemed a bit confused.

I came here with a group of colleagues for a belated Christmas lunch. We booked a table for 2.15pm but arrived at 1.45pm. This wasn't an issue as the place was really quiet. I ordered the halloumi salad with chips on the side. The portion sizes are really good and the prices very reasonable. To be honest, I could have... More

I have been to The Harrison on a number of occasions and thought the food excellent. Last night it wasn't. To be fair those who ordered fish and chips spoke highly of their meal. Those of us who chose 'Christmas Dinner' didn't! The turkey was fine. The roast potatoes were anything but crispy and the few sticks of carrot and... More

After a little bit of a mix up with our booking 8 ladies and a couple of quiet babies sat down to a wonderful Sunday lunch, amazing beef and apple and fruit crumble. We are definitely booking again for our next get together.

Go to the Harrison a lot with family and friends, as I am a local. It can get really busy as some nights there are gigs and events in the basement. I have in the main had some great meals and times here with occasional lapses due to the sheer number of people in the place. Love 'the Harry' its... More

Food quite ok but slow and dozy service. As so often with young staff, they seemed to regard customers as a distraction from the good time they wanted to have with their colleagues. One waiter was obtuse enough to elaborately prepare a salad on the counter - which I thought was intended for me - and then sit down with... More

While the food was largely fine, when combined with the irritations of the service it all adds up to an experience I would neither repeat nor recommend to anyone. Getting the menus took 20 Minutes and two requests; the wine never arrived until 20 Minutes later than that and well past the appetizer was finished (and required a second request).... More

We had stayed at the pub on the Saturday night and left our bags there during the day while we wandered around London. On return it seemed a shame not to order the Sunday lunch that smelled so good and that I knew had rave reviews on here. All I can say is that we must have been unlucky -... More

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
