Great steak tartare and fillet. Suggested great read wine to go with. Not too pricy. Friendly staff, fairly reactive given how busy it was on a Sunday. Could probably have smaller portions for kids but are flexible and shared an adult portion for two young folks... Were kind enough to sing happy Bday at the right time. I think the... More

Lunch time annual reunion...food excelled, we all chose fish. Excellent range of wine which can get expensive if you explore the outer ranges of the wine list. We stayed at while and felt very welcome

Have visited the restaurant many times over the years but felt the level of service had declined on this occasion- a pity as the food is good and the atmosphere is gorgeously romantic x

Our Australian friend found this little gem, tucked away in Shepard's Market and treated us to a delicious meal and we've been taking friends/family back ever since for 'special occasions', I adore everything about this place, the atmosphere, the highly trained staff, escargot is gorgeous, reasonable all the way to 'go for it' wine list, the duck is cooked to... Visited at lunchtime for a business lunch. Great choice of menu with starters varying from about £8 up to oysters at quite a bit more! The hake was wonderful, really meaty and beautifully cooked. Side orders are extra but most main dishes don't need them. Service was very good, attentive staff but not overbearing. High recommended

A small piece of France in the heart of Mayfair! Start with the snails and oysters, followed by ribeye Steak & Frites. My steak was melt in the mouth. I was provided with a steak knife but didn't need it. Others had Steak Tartare, which was excellent and the final main course was the Pig Cheek cassoulet, served in a... More

If you want to eat good French food, you can go to Le Boudin Blanc of London, especially if you have not eaten for a couple of days, or months... No it is not a joke...I have been quite disappointed by the food, so called French, and I like better 10 times to cook myself a good boudin blanc and... More

I have been here many times but not recently. It really deserves three and a half stars because it is good but not VERY GOOD. My mussels were tasty but the sauces was perhaps slightly thin if I was being pedantic. My steak was superb but you cannot really go wrong with a good steak but for an entrecote at... More

We took some clients here for lunch recently. This is about as French as it comes outside of France. There is nothing flowery here, they just do all the classics incredibly well. To start - Escargots, Moules, Foie Gras, Soupe a l'Oignon - it is all here. For the mains, perfectly cooked steaks and my Bas fenouil was delicious. Everyone... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Mayfair
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
