Post theatre late night cheese and port at our favourite haunt in London. We have been visiting this restaurant since the last 25 years and have always been impressed by the range of port and fortified wines. The food has improved over the years.

After a day of sight seeing it was lovely to sit a graze with a Davy sharing platter and a glass or two of wine. We have fond memories of this place and we go every time we visit London. It never disappoints. We love the opera singers and the relaxed atmosphere. The food is fantastic. We love the cheese... More

We come here often when we are in London. The wine selection is excellent and the food lovely. I nearly always opt for a cheese board as the choice of cheese is super. The location of the Crusting Pipe is just fabulous, right in the lower hall of Covent Garden, inside it is cosy and romantic and outside you get... More

On a visit to london for my birthday (14th feb) we stopped of at thid little place as the classical live music was drawing us in. Decided to order the afternoon tea with champagne. The price was hefty at £57 for 2 people and honestly was not worth thd money. The sour tatse though was that i accidently knocked my... More

We had a lovely meal. Good service and atmosphere however it was so cold in the restaurant and took ages to warm up after leaving. I objected to paying the 10% imposed service charge which I asked to be removed which it was. I don't mind paying a tip at all however I do not like the assumption.

I booked this for my best friends birthday lunch whilst we stayed in London. I booked in advance as it was a Saturday morning. I requested that they brought out her dessert with candles in it, which they did and it was so cute :) She loved it. The staff were so facilitative and kind. There was live music in... More

Great choice of food and friendly staff. Wonderful entertainment from singers and musicians in the square. We've paid two visits here and it's definitely on our list of places to return to next time we're in London.

The food was just superb. The service was quite good also. I highly recommend the chicken with mush potatoes that is made with red wine.

Visited whilst staying in Covent Garden. Nice and central and plenty of space. The menu is very good - something for everyone. Decent wine list too. Mushroom risotto is lovely, as was cod with pancetta. Reasonably priced. The service charge is included but the staff don't get the full 10%. Remove the service charge and tip in cash. Would visit... Wanted a quick bite to eat and saw this place. We intended to grab a starter and a bottle of wine between us...but decided to soak up the atmosphere. The Crusting Pipe sits in a plum position at the heart of London's famous Covent Garden Market and just minutes away from Charing Cross, Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square Underground stations. Customers seated in the outdoor terrace can often enjoy impromptu performances from local musicians and actors, while the indoor spaces with vaulted ceilings and lots of nooks and crannies, provide an atmospheric setting in which to enjoy the seasonal British classics on offer.
