I went to this restraunt today the celebration of the chinese new year just down the road at Trafalger square. From the outside this place looked ok. Once inside the paint was falling off the walls, some writing in red was on them, the seats...More

I have to admit, the first thing I miss when traveling overseas is American food. Over the years, the TEC has always beckoned because when traveling around London, you can't but help see it a few times a day. Once, it was THE place for...More

If you are really from Texas, this is not your embassy! This is the typical Tex-Mex Cantina outside of the good ole USA. Food is bland, prices are high, and if you are seeking comfort food try something local. If you have never had good...More

We've eaten here many times over the years... a bit of an American Tex-Mex fix. I have to say that each time we go we are more and more disappointed.... the portion sizes seem to be getting smaller and the tastiness of the food is...More

I've been there several times, and generally go for a really tasty burger. Cocktails are ok, but they can't do a Mai Tai which is my favourite. Others on the menu are plebean, but anyone can make a Screwdriver so that's fine. Awful place for...More

Avoid at all costs. Awful service. Rude, inefficient and treat you as if they don't want you there; especially the door staff. The food is mediocre. A good choice, but not worth the money. Try and find somewhere else if you can!

We were very excited to find a "piece of Texas" right here in London as we were visiting from Austin. The only part of Texas that is in this establishment is the sign. We tried several things starting with the margaritas which were completely substandard....More

Used to be very good a few years ago. Went today and the food was dire; just about acceptable (sent mine back for being cold) but the ingredients just felt cheap and tasteless. The cantina was quite empty but the food still look ages to...More

Nice & friendly tex-mex restaurant close to Trafalgar Square. Big portions at a fair price (by London standards). The room is large and the decoration "brings" you to Texas. In winter months try not to sit close to the door. It doesn't always close properly...More

With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized

Description
Set in an impressive Georgian building next to such neighbors as The National Gallery and Nelson’s Column in Trafalgar Square you can find London’s best and friendliest Tex-Mex restaurant. Once inside the restaurant you will find two floors, each with it’s own bar. On the ground floor you enter into a Mexican village at fiesta time with festival lights and sombreros giving that party atmosphere. There is also in view the open planned kitchen area where you can see the chefs preparing your meal to order. Whilst on the first floor you step into our 1800’s saloon, with a Texas Long Bar décor, thereby combining the best of both sides of the border. The food is traditional Tex-Mex but a well thought out menu with specialties such as Southern Fried Chicken, Fajitas and Enchiladas along with a large selection of great steaks. Desserts include Strawberry Margarita Cheesecake, Key Lime Pie and of course Sizzling Apple Pie – This means that you are always spoilt for choice.
