The Parlour is the "must go" restaurant in Fortnum & Mason. Its icecreams, pastries and teas are wonderful, colorful, tasteful and well presented. Good service is married with a great setting I would recommend to anyone, be they on a date or with their children.

After shopping we decided on having a snack before visiting a museum. A quieter restaurant than the ground floor Parlour with a very different vibe. Soft colors and Crome reminded me of an American Soda Fountain. The menu was full of ice cream delights but I decided on Welsh rarebit which was very flavorful though the toast was a little... More

Visited The Parlour with recommendations from friends, It was a birthday visit, and the waiter asked what the occasion was which was great. Food was top notch, really tasty, and was enough for a modest afternoon tea with a difference. The only reason why I have given a 4* instead of 5* is that the service was quite slow at... More

Their sundaes are filling enough for four people to share, priced at £12. The taste wasn't worth the price. Their savoury salmon item was overpriced too. The bread tasted really old. Desserts and tea at Claridges is cheaper, or go to the Wolseley, which is on the same road. Ambience is playful and targeted for children.

We hadn't intended eating at The Parlour in F&M. However, timings meant that we needed a rest for our feet and a coffee felt in order. On being seated, very promptly and with a friendly welcome, we decided we'd have a bite to eat too. The prices on the menu are actually very reasonable considering the reputation F&M have for... A few years ago you could get a cup of tea and a piece of cake on the 4th floor. Nice and quiet atmosphere. Unfortunately they have now turned this into a restaurant and you are required to go to the Parlour on the 1st floor for tea, cakes and ice cream. Very noisy, staff rushed of their feet and... More

My wife and I visited Fortnum & Mason 2 years ago and enjoyed excellent tea and scones on their ground floor tea room, so much so that we decided to return. But this time we found out that the ground floor tea room was now a restaurant, and the tea room was moved to level 1 of the building. We... More

You know when you walk in this landmark store it's going to be expensive but you must also know that it is going to be good. And it is, it's FAB, the place is full of atmosphere, the staff are great, the tea is second to none, the venue is pure class, my wife and I had a lovely lunch... More

Staying in Mayfair

Neighbourhood Profile
Set beside some of London's best parks and home to world-class galleries, luxurious hotels, and famed thoroughfares, the ultra upscale Mayfair is one of London's most exclusive haunts. Here the shopping is haute, the dining is exquisite, and the nightlife is vibrant. A casual stroll through the area’s chic streets will reveal that Michelin stars and chauffeured cars are practically the norm here. Even if you're on a tight budget, this exceptionally well connected swath of Central London is worth exploring, if only for the chance to take a peak at the goings on of upper crust English society.
