Stopped by for a weekend breakfast and chose the pancakes, one with berry compote and the other with bacon and fried egg. We had to send them back as they had obviously been made earlier and heated up giving a rubber character and hence very difficult to cut through. The second set were cooked fresh and much better although still... More

The food was awful here. Had breakfast here with my sister. Her full English was terrible the bacon was burnt and the sausages tasted rotten. I had eggs benedict , worst I've ever tasted . Really bitter taste from hollandaise sauce. They clearly used a lot of vinegar. The guy that served us had no personality. I think he was... More

It was a quiet Monday evening but that didn't stop the Staff being very cheerful and efficient. Our food was delicious. Good varied menu. Enjoyed our Cocktails and wines by the glass. Perfect place to meet friends for a relaxing evening with good food.

My friend and I had shrimp dishes that were ok but shrimp was overcooked. We ate an early dinner but even when we were leaving at 6:30 the place was barely filled. A nice place to talk because of lack of people but I certainly wouldn't go there for the food.

This is consistently very good with a new specials every day as well as the a la carte menu. I eat there often and never have been disappointed. In addition it is quiet with well-spaced tables. Charming service

Met a friend for drinks while waiting for others to come for dinner. We had some dips with the drinks and waited for the rest of our party for 2 hours. We were never hassled to have more drinks and the waitress was polite and the service excellent. When the others arrived and we had ordered, we were all very... More

I eat here quite often the fresh fish are quite good and all the other items are good home food. Before the renovation the prices especially lunch were very competitive now having risen they are same levels to lots of other better restaurants. the staff is polite efficient and friendly .

While it seems like a nice place, there is nothing really special and everything in the end leaves an average impression. The prices are not really average though. Service is good and the stuff friendly. However there were quite a few missteps (like for example taking a really long time to take our order, bringing the oil dip without the... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
