My partner and I went for a mid-week date night and were pleasantly surprised with the romantic candlelit atmosphere. Tables are small and close together, but this added to the charm. We had the hake and the duck, both of which were very fresh and...More

The staff were unbelievably rude, I would never suggest anyone comes here. Service was the slowest I have ever had in London. The 'manager' was seen shouting very rudely at one of his colleagues and the whole experience was extremely unpleasant

Like so many I utterly love the wonderful old atmosphere, but something is not right in the kitchen, to be kind the food was moderate, and our main course took an hour to arrive. Such a pity as even though I love the place, I'm...More

A friend of mine had prebooked a table for lunch well in advance, specifically asking for a table in the upstairs section. On arrival I was firstly kept waiting like a lemon for ten minutes in the tiny area by the bar before being shown...More

I could not get past the foul-smelling plaice and the soggy cabbage leaves that serve as "mixed greens." Other items on the menu blah. Wine selection decent as is the pecan pie for dessert. This is not a cheap place, so I really think it...More

I would recommend downstairs just because guests arriving and leaving pass through the tables upstairs and therefore feels less intimate.

Description
Established 1986, Andrew Edmunds is considered one of the last bastions of 'old Soho'. This 18thc. town house has, for almost thirty years, attracted many loyal customers. A relaxed atmosphere, seasonal menu and famous but reasonably priced wine list have ensured our enduring popularity.
