We arrived at Tower Hill and decided to catch the water bus to Greenwich, we walked around Greenwich Market which was great as it was lunchtime and the food court smelt amazing .... we carried on walking and we stumbled across this great pub. We were seated promptly sitting in front of the window looking out to the River Thames.... More

We chose this pub because it looked welcoming, the menu was good and the setting was close to Greenwich Pier. The bar staff were friendly enough and the food choices on the menu were good. That's when it started to go wrong. We waited an hour for food, it arrived in no certain order, the wrong food arrived, my vegetarian... More

Had such a great meal here - the ultimate fish and chips is a must when you go. Staff were very helpful and attentive and the cement was amazing with the views of London! Can't wait to go back in the summer!

Went for a few pints on a Sunday, plenty of seating, friendly staff, dogs catered for. Good view over the river.

Lovely view of the river if you arrive early for your lunch or evening meal. Food is good value and beer is just what you need if you like a real bitter.

Visited this pub this afternoon. The people on the next table had brought a dog inside with them and the pub had supplied a dog bowl of water. After the customers left we witnessed an employee (possibly even the landlady) pick up the dog bowl, dip a serviette into the water and wipe the table down with it! We were... More

Had lunch here on a Sunday and the place was busy. We managed to find a table that was being vacated and the table was cleared of the old plates quickly, unfortunately, he didn’t come back to wipe the table and we did that ourselves to have a clean eating area. Meals were price reasonably and were of pub grub... More

We've been going to the Yacht on and off for years and in the past it was good, with one of the best fish and chips by the River Thames you could find in the area. On our last visit however it's really taken a downturn. The food was very disappointing and we had to assume they'd run out of... More

Went in around three on a Sunday. It was very busy with no free tables but we persevered and we found two seats. Eventually we had the whole table and by five the pub had cleared a lot. We had a coupe of drinks and then food: Orishas Camembert - I can't believe it was baked but microwaved; chicken and... More

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
