I love this place. Well I thought I did. I used to stop here every now and then for some dumplings when I worked nearby. So when I was in London yesterday I thought I'd drop by at lunchtime. The place itself is still the same. Basic but with the emphasis on the food and fast service - which I... More

Best dumplings in town! I have been coming here for several years. Whenever I travel to London, I always stop here. Love the homemade and handmade dumplings. Great soups too! Wishing I wad there right now!

Worst service ever experienced in my life, if you even call it "service" ... coupled with terrible food. Comment written by a real chinese person.

I was curious about the hand made dumplings but they were a bit tasteless. I was also shocked that they served instant noodles with the duck noodles. Lesson learnt - cheap doesn't necessarily mean good value!

Just came back from dinner tonite expecting a fair portion size for the price. I had the 3 meat and rice. Plate came out with 4 small pieces of duck, 6 small slices of char siu and 5 small slices of roast pork. All for £7. Going down the road to a restaurant, would have cost me £6 and a... More

Asian dumplings made by hand in a special corner of the window puts on a little show that can be enjoyed by any passer-by. Getting a table at lunch time was difficult due to the unhelpful and non-fluent in English staff. The food was average and prices would have been good value for money if we were not overcharged with... More

I come here and I eat dumplings on my own. Most in here are Chinese and speak Chinese, so in terms of interaction you can go relatively unnoticed, I don't mean in terms of service, that's attentive but keeping low is how I want my experience to be here, something nice about being in central london and feeling you're not... This is the only place I've eaten at in Chinatown. The food's amazing, staff are friendly and the prices are good so why go anywhere else? I had the honey BBQ pork and rice and shared some dumplings for lunch and it filled me up all day. The food is fresh, especially the dumplings which you can see being handmade... More

Walking into Chinatown, my eyes attention was caught by the woman in the window making the homemade dumplings. Eventually ended up going for the spare rib noodles.Ribs were good but the noodles had no taste - similar to the cheap 1 minute add water types you find in the supermarket. That was £8. Door kept being blown open letting in... More

Jen's Cafe gives me that feeling of stepping into China again. They offer an efficient service, polite and very attentive With Jen's Cafe, you're not going to break the bank eating here. The price is very fair for what you get. Its nice to see at the front window how the dumplings and noodles are made. Its quite a family... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
