The food was wholesome and quantity was great. Enjoyed the lager. Simple authentic Turkish food. Ty. I felt the price was slightly on the higher end but the simple presentation and authentic cuisine are worth it.

Then don't go there. We've been at Tas in Borough High Street many times during the last 5 years, and it used to be great! I believe that gradually, Tas has adapted their dishes to the British palad = it doesn't taste of much. My two stars go the nice place and to the really lovely staff. But the food... More

The food here was pretty average, it's not as authentic as you find in Turkish restaurants in North London for example. The Calamari starter was the best thing I ordered and I suggest trying. The mix grill iskender for main was ok but could have done with more flavour and the portion size was on the small side. The kunaffe... More

Previously enjoyed a meal at TAS The Cut, and TAS Borough High Street was just as enjoyable. Very friendly staff. Extensive menu, food served quickly. Pleasant surroundings with some live music.

Visited here for the first time in many years and it was just as good as I remember. Very smart inside with good quality linen and cutlery. A varied Turkish menu with lots of choice especially of hot and cold mezes. There were four of us so we all shared each others mezes which were delicious. My mains of lamb... More

Working late with colleagues and visited for a light supper. Seated downstairs which suited us as it was quieter than the busy restaurant upstairs. Great service and great food.

Having visited the George the Shakespeare Pub owned by the National Trust which is the other side of the road-a must to visit as well- went with family members to Tas. The food is consistently good and had an enjoyable meal with a bottle of wine and coffee and the cost including service was £25 a head

Whilst in London we thought we would take a walk down Borough High Street and find somewhere to have lunch. Very pleased we came across this restaurant. We were given the choice of where we would like to sit. The tables were laid out well with Lovely White table cloths and napkins . The waiting staff were very friendly and... More

Staying in Southwark

Neighbourhood Profile
Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard, the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some time, locals and out-of-towners alike have loved browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street, foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest attractions such as Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe. Despite Southwark's many popular draws, instant calm can be achieved easily by turning down almost any side street. For more urban buzz, a quick stroll across famed bridges like the pedestrianized Millennium Bridge or the ever photogenic Tower Bridge yields access to the very core of Central London. And with London Bridge Station as this neighbourhood's main transportation hub, getting across town (or to anywhere in England for that matter) is a relative breeze.
