Having walked out of a restaurant in a neighbouring village where the Cock was certainly not Game that night, we were made welcome at the Craven Arms. Helpful staff, prompt service and flavoursome food at highly competitive prices. Many, many thanks.

Can't fault this place. It's not a pub trying to be a restaurant - and it's not a restaurant trying to be a pub: it successfully merges the two businesses to great effect. Some excellent local ales on tap and the food was just as good. We had mussels (described as "almost most as good as mine" - which is... More

Visited here 1st time Saturday evening .warm welcome .attentive staff .the food was lovely I recommend the moulles mariner.generous portions.and very tasty. The only criticism I would have is there could perhaps be another fish dish besides the fish pie..maybe fish and chips?? Overall a lovely place to eat and will definitely be back

Went for a nice dinner with the wife! Brilliant! Beef Wellington is not Beef Wellington but it is a great meal at a decent price! Service great too. Not the cheapest place but good value for a special pub experience!

Well from start to finish it was very good. The beer was well looked after, tasty and the food was well presented and hot. The only two points that would have made it excellent and they are small points are. The bread that came with the mussels crumbled as though it was a little stale and the time between starter... Traveling between Skipton and Penrith and stopped for lunch with the family. The location, food, service were second to none - absolutely fantastic. Will be returning soon.
