This place is so good we are there twice in our weeks stay in Whitby. Pies cooked to perfection with creamy mash and peas with thick gravy - we thought we'd died and gone to heaven!

Just walking past this shop and thought erm pie & mash? We opened the door and thought I'd gone back in time 60 years. We weren't going to go in as it looked full but the girl shouted if we wanted a table for two,...More

Called in after work on Tuesday for a couple of pies to take away. The sausage & black pudding pie was delicious & cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the hommity pie was so burnt that the cheese on top had turned to shrapnel & the pastry...More

Great find in Whitby. Must have missed it on previous visits. Delicious selection of homemade pies, mash potatoes and peas. We both had the corned beef pies whilst our friends tucked into the steak and ale pies. Scrumptious! Lovely 50s style surroundings. It was busy...More

Despite it being the hottest day of the month, we were adamant we wanted to go to Humble to try their legendary pies and we weren't disappointed. Friendly staff make up for the somewhat cramped interior and the menu, despite being only pies, is diverse!...More

Packed with history and cozily laid out, Humble was one of our first port of calls on my first return to Whitby in ten years - and it was exactly as I remember it. Brilliant atmosphere, delicious pies of various combinations lined up with lashings...More

The pies here are great. All served simply with mash, gravy & peas. As well as the food however, we also loved the place itself. We had 8 in our group & although there are only a few smaller tables downstairs, we were seated upstairs...More

Such a wonderful step back in time, friendly staff and plenty of history to be seen in the most cosy dining room with original features. I can't wait to go back, the food was delicious and the service was great.

We are a small unlicensed eatery, serving just pie mash peas and gravy. We welcome dogs and their owners but have a dog free area upstairs. We don't have any Alcohol, but you are more than welcome to bring your own or pop over the road to the Endeavour pub who will let you bring a nice cold pint back to your food.If we do something wrong or make a mistake, please let us know or contact me through the messaging service and i will put it right.I believe you should be able to have a filling quality meal for a decent price.
