Went for Sunday lunch for a change, this was a first visit. It is small but very welcoming. Lunch was a typical home cooked Sunday lunch. Very tasty. One minor con was that although there was plenty of vegetables, including mashed potato, there was minimal roast potatoes. I am not a lover of mash and had asked about the roast... More

Only had the one drink, a bit too clicky for us with it being a typical local. lovely staff and a nice pint. Not open that often, not when we were in the area anyway.

Had a late tea here last Saturday, food fresh and tasty, even found they had a vegan option with the bean chilli, very reasonably priced and friendly staff, quiet and very handy for local campsite (which i think is run by the same people),

What makes The Stiddy so lovely is the staff, each and every one of them, I've never been made to feel more welcome. It's a charming village pub made even better by the locals who are very friendly and contributed to the great atmosphere. The Sunday Lunch is on another level, it was so good! Great value, I'd definitely recommend... More

We called in here one Saturday evening after having found all the pet friendly eateries in Sandsend full. As we walked in to check that it was okay to bring our dog in, a group of four were walking out having got fed up of waiting for their meal, saying they had been waiting for over an hour. This was... We were at the campsite down the lane so nice and handy.we ate here twice and the food and service was excellent both times.we recommended the pub to our tent neighbours and they also said the food was excellent.everything is cooked fresh so there's a wait between ordering and eating but the wait wasn't excessive and it was well worth... We ordered food, but it took so long to arrive that we had to leave without eating it. We asked on a few occasions how long it was going to be and the landlord said it was being dished out, but it still never arrived. As far as we could see, the pub was not too busy, so could not... More

We called in to the Stiddy on a Thursday night as we had been staying at the campsite behind the pub. From walking in we were made to feel very welcome. The man behind the bar was very happy to help and provided us with advice about the local attractions while we had drinks. Our food arrived and we were... More

Pub itself a little dated and in need of some TLC but the welcome is always warm and genuine. Sunday lunch is fabulous with a choice of 3 roasts, piping hot and plentiful fresh vegetables and potatoes, home made Yorkshire puddings and tasty gravy, all this for £8.50. I don't think you will find better in this area,a "must try".
