Had regular cod and chips, it was plenty big enough. There is a takeaway or a sit in restaurant, this is where we ate. Staff very friendly and efficient. The batter on the cod was so light and crispy, portion was great, no too many...More

As it was raining on our day trip to Whitby we decided that eating in was a more prudent option than take away. My friend and I had a small fish and chips, bread and butter and mushy peas. The fish was lovely and white...More

Really light, crispy batter on their fish which is mostly MSC certified (they have a board telling you the name of the trawler that caught it). I was a bit disappointed by the scampi - it was a bit dry. The chips are good -...More

Have been here before a few times, small queue outside, didn't have to wait too long for a table, friendly staff, quick service, lovely fish and chips, can't fault it.

Quayside is a nice little cafe. The food was good and the service was fast. It was reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Stood in the line waiting for a table I realised that we were probably going to spend close to £50 for fish and chips that might turn out to be nothing special. So instead we got the same from the take away next door. It...More

In your window, it says you are child friendly, yet you ask parents to fold buggies. As a parent of a child who is too young to use a high chair (8 weeks old) it seems we weren't welcome. Can you clarify your 'child friendly' sign please? Does it not include babies?

I'm treating my new love to a trip to Whitby next weekend, and thought a fish & chip meal appropriate. My new partner however has an aversion to fish fried with the skin on. I'm not too keen either. Are your fish fried with or without?
