Well worth hunting out.. come down steps off Lendal Bridge and in front of you.. train station side by the river.. excellent food and service. Light lunch, just a cake, and or a hot or cold soft drink...

We came across this place on a recent break with friends in York. We were walking the walls and exploring the city and were in definite need of a pick me up after a couple hours in the railway museum! Such a cute and quirky...More

We were recommended this place but were disappointed when we first popped in as it was so busy no tables were free. On our way back out of town we understood why. We had our table and were spoilt for choice in cakes and drinks!...More

Leading the Independent coffee shops / cafes / establishments of York I reckon. A real asset to the city and great stop off on the way to the station or on the way back to home.

Four for coffee and bite found us inside in this historic tower which is very nicely done out in an informal way. The Capucicinos and Flat Whites were perfect and the cinnamon toast crisp but succulent too. We will return.

Hi Alice, We don't reserve seats, we just run on a first come, first serve basis. If you arrive before 10.30am, there is usually a free table for 2 free. In terms of price range, toast is the cheapest breakfast item... More

Small speciality coffee shop serving some the UK's best coffee. Locally sourced food, homemade cakes from our bakery and all packed into an 800 year old tower under Lendal Bridge, York. Everything available to eat in or take out. There is also a new Perky Peacock by York st University on Gillygate, York.
