Typical restaurant / pub. But food better than the norm and has a good ambiance. Good choice of food, wine and beer.

Had a decent family meal here on Sunday. The place is really nice, very old. Food was adequate, and pretty well priced, if slightly mushy potatoes and a bit tepid. . No complaints about service.

We visited Fox and Roman as it was a stones throw from our hotel and were not disappointed. Food was excellent - the shallot tarte tatin was the best starter I've ever had. The chicken pie and trio nut and toffee dessert were equally delicious....More
