My other half and I have always enjoyed visiting the Alley Cafe for a bit to eat when in town, but we haven't been since our little one came along. We decided to right that the other week and popped in to enjoy some delicious vegetarian grub! I was a little put out when we were told they don't provide... More

I'm sad to be writing this but feel I have to after my experience here.took my mum here for her birthday as it was a lovely looking venue with a nice veggie menu (and her choice).but here it goes...There is no pushchair or wheelchair access which was a suprise but once I got up the stairs to the cafe with... I come to Alley cafe for lunch every time I come to Nottingham. The food is amazing and not expensive. Turns in to a lively bar in the evening!

I used to visit the Alley Cafe about once a month but given the other options out there, it just doesn't match up to it's competitors any more. They recently cut down the options on the menu so it's quite limited in choice for main courses now. Their tempeh burger is pretty poor, the ratio between bread and burger is... More

Was one of my favourite places but has gone downhill recently - real pity, looks like the guys running this have taken their eyes off the ball whilst distracted by the revamped angel (which is worth a visit). Food menu now missing a few of my favourites, old enthusiasm of the staff gone - they seem unable to realise that... More

I lived in Nottingham for 4 months in 2015 and this was by far my favorite cafe. This cafe is a little hidden gem that you wouldn't notice unless you went looking for it, which I think just adds to its appeal. The cafe is behind an alley that has a small opening into the main street, giving it that... More

I went along to Alley Cafe this morning to have brunch with my partner. I asked for the Alley Cafe breakfast, and was told there was no tofu, so I asked for the tempeh burger, and was told there was no tempeh, and then asked for the pizza, and was told there was no cheese. The person serving me could... More

My daughter was looking forward to going to this vegetarian restaurant so booked a table when I visited her. Ordered the full veggie breakfast and there was no gluten free bread. It took 30 minutes to arrive to be told they had no sausages so we had double of the veggie bacon, although mine was partly the rind (which was... More

Gosh! We are a family of vegetarians and my 2 year old is currently off dairy for medical reasons. Let's go to Alley Cafe I thought as then we don't need to worry about dairy content we thought. Wrong! We asked if the bread used in the meal contained milk, they weren't sure, come on guys you're supposed to be... More

We have been going to this little vegetarian cafe in Nottingham for many years and have always enjoyed the fact that although small, they have a lot to offer and the staff always friendly, not to mention how good the food is (was)! Was in Nottingham for the week over Christmas and decided to have lunch. There was one guy... More
