16 of us went for Sunday Lunch at £14.95 for 2 courses. Service was great and the food was excellent. There were no complaints from anyone. The only thing for me and it's a personal choice is the setting. It's a great building but it lacks the cosy intimate feel. It's very open and reminds me of a huge banqueting... More

Frequent stop of my cycling trips. I always enjoy lovely latte in a wonderful peaceful surrounding. Also great restaurant with tasty food and great service (seafood pasta is my firm favourite). Beautiful outdoors with comfy seats and lake view perfect all year!

This was our first time at the Lakeside. We have driven past this beautiful building, set in lovely grounds, often over the years and had heard many good reports so we were eager to give this restaurant a try. There were four of us for lunch, including one vegan, to celebrate a wedding anniversary. We had booked a table and... More

Had a really lovely Sunday lunch here in the very civilised surroundings offered at Lakeside. The staff were very attentive and helpful, the food was lovely and well presented, the house white wine - excellent. It was busy enough on a Sunday lunch to have a nice atmosphere, the tables are far enough apart and it is such a high... More

Driving towards Ashfield from Nottingham after work we had passed this building initially thought it fad too expensive. What we found is That we total treasure - service was first class, and staff were patient and very polite, the food was beautiful. We have dined in Marco Pierre White and hand on heart this place is just as good x

This beautiful Grade 11 Listed Victorian pumping station, north of Nottingham, was converted some years ago into a stunning restaurant and spa. The restaurant itself and the decorations within are stunning. Think 'Medieval' and you're about there. It IS called King Arthur's at Lakeside after all. This was our first visit and the four of us enjoyed some excellent courses... More

We needn't have worried about all the negative reviews here as we had a most enjoyable family birthday celebration Sunday lunch. It's not perfect but there were so many things to praise that I'll mention these first 1: Our telephone booking was handled courteously, both initially and when I called back to increase the numbers and the lady I spoke... Having driven past here on many occasions and commented and commented how nice it looked, coupled with how nice the menu has always sounded on the website, we decided to try eating here for the first time to celebrate our engagement. Our experience though was not what i was expecting, based on the surroundings and the prices on the menu,... More
