It has been a few years since this was a local of mine. It was always a nice place with welcoming staff. That has not changed, aside from a very nice refit, however it was an absolute creche! There were more under-teen children in the place than adults. It is a shame it has gone the way of so many... More

Very pleasantly surprised and pleased with the new menu after the refit. A broad range of dishes at good prices and some great deals too. I like the way the pub is now in three areas - dining, drinking and games. A good option if you want good pub grub at very reasonable prices.

Went to see a show in Nottingham yesterday. The Willow tree is a short taxi ride from the city centre. Lovely spacious pub, although the staff told us it is going to be re-furbished soon. Drinks were a good price and plenty of choice. Great menu choice at really reasonable prices ( I had a mixed grill which was lovely... More

Was taken here by a relative and have to say, thought we had made a mistake. Not the most attractive part of town from a strangers point of view and after parking the car in the huge but empty car park, headed over the gravel to the main door. On entry we were made very welcome by the manager who... More

Not posh but offers a wide choice of food and it has friendly atmosphere. If you want to watch the football or any other sport it accommodates that weekend fix. We like it.

I have recently moved to the area and this place has quickly become my destination for a few drinks. The staff are always friendly and help provide a great atmosphere. The food is great value and the beer is always on form.

Sadly I have also had the misfortune to be on the receiving end of the Manager's heavy handed and severely poor approach to customer service. We used to be regulars to this pub as the staff (NOT THE MANAGER!) were always friendly, until our very unpleasant trip where the Manager ruined our meeting up with friends. We complained to the... There has only been 2 sets of vouchers given out in my tenure of 6 years at the willow tree. One that involved my self., and one that was around the time that I was off work during sickness. As I have dealt with one . I am assuming this is the other. If you would like to contact me... More
