After driving past this pub a couple of times, my family and I thought it would be great place for family Sunday lunch. The Appearance of the lovely pub looked wonderful in the spring sun. Once we walked in we where hit with the sound...More

My partner and I were left waiting for over 15 minutes at the bar to be seated for a table. The conservatory where I have been before looked jaded and sad. A long wait for a bottle of wine and bread. Unacceptable.. Another 25 minutes...More

We visited for Sunday lunch and decided on roast dinners. The ‘roast of the day’ came out and looked wonderful - fresh, pink lamb and a good sized portion. The beef and pork followed and were extremely disappointing - two thin slices each that did...More

Have eaten here a few times and has always been fine. Today 8th April waited 4 minutes at a relatively empty bar unacknowledged by the bar man making himself busy cleaning things. Eventually the lady next to us asked loudly for a wine list to...More

Ten of us visited for lunch and it was OK. I would say generally over priced both food and drinks. I had steak frites which said on the menu "aged beef". I asked for how long but waitress didn't know. Flat iron steak is not...More

We decided last minute to come out and have tea. We are on holiday staying at the Swiss caravan park, this pub was about a 15 minute walk away. We had tried another pub, but they were too busy to accommodate us. So we trip...More

Worst experience we have had for sometime. We visited early on a Saturday evening . Not many in the restaurant apart from large table from the rugb club. Particularly enjoyed their party trick of two of them standing up imitating a male sex act in...More

We took some friend here for a meal. The girls had a bottle of wine and us lads plumped for a Brakspear. The drinks came but the beer refused to clear so it went back. More arrived but again it was full of floaters. Ok...More

Can't fault the food, albeit a little pricey. I had the veggie sweet potato and chickpea fritter and it was really tasty. This would've been a 5* review but the service really let it down. I arrived around 1:30, when the waiter sat me down...More

The Little Angel is all things to all people. It is a historic, perfectly placed pub and eating house at the foot of Remenham Lane, just before you go over Henley bridge into Henley on Thames. With a large car park, a reputation for great service, food and ambience, this pub is the busiest in the area and deservedly is on most itineraries of anyone visiting Henley on Thames. From the outside, it looks a quaint little pub but enter its hallowed doorway and you will find the most unique, beautifully designed space, with space being a key word. They can seat over 100 without a problem and can hold private functions for over 350 standing. Weddings, corporate functions, you name it, they can do it. They have a superb, professional and friendly team that can assist with most requests. Food is seasonal, fresh, cooked to order and with quarterly changing A la Carte and daily delicious specials, this pub is patronised all year round for lunch, dinner, drinks at their large and buzzy bar or when weather shows some joy, in their large, patioed garden that looks onto the quintessential Henley Cricket Club playing grounds. Jugs of Pimms, Pitchers of beer sit comfortably alongside ice buckets full of champagne and provence rose. If you haven't been to Henley or to The Little Angel, it is well worth a visit. The historic River Thames is just 100 yards away. Walk to it, from it or drive, as you wish but do GO!
