True town pub of quality atmosphere, cosy seating, ambience of the solid Anglo variety... Excellent dishes with huge servings. You will be full! You will be warm! One to while away an afternoon within. Seats by the fire, or a group tucked against the wood...More

I loved the food and atmosphere so much I ate here 3 times over the weekend. Divided into 2 parts, the bar area complete with roaring fire has a snug cosy atmosphere. It can be cold by the windows as it’s a very old but...More

Brilliant, limited menu but cleverly done. Mainly pies plus a few dishes. What we tasted was very good indeed, great quality home made fare - this is exactly what a pub should do. Wouldn't go often, but when in the right mood, (hungry) this is...More

All new menu for winter 2017 with a selection of delicious pies. A choice of how you would like your pie - totally enclosed, or just a top-crust - both scrumptious. Highly recommended

Opened by Mark and Sandra Duggan in May 2011 what once was a run down and unloved pub has now become a charming and popular drinking and dining spot for locals and visitors alike. The front bar is charming with wood panelled walls and old brewery photos of a bygone era and has a roaring open fire during the winter months. The intimate dining room is classic and cosy and the newly refurbished terrace offers the perfect spot for outdoor dining with rattan furniture and large parasols in a tranquil setting. There is also the Stable Bar at the rear of the property which offers a private dining space for up to 32 people. The food itself is all freshly prepared by chef Mark and his team and offers the best of pub classics along with more modern dishes using seasonal and where possible local produce. That teamed with friendly, informative and efficient service has got The Three Tuns recommended in the 2013 Michelin Guide. The Tuns certainly has something to offer everyone...
