On behalf of my fellow diners I wish to comment on the substandard service we received at the Brasserie. I am aware, being a waiter/waitress they can not control every element of the dining experience, but like it or not, they are the face of...More

If there's one thing I hate about a restaurant, it's a forced service charge. Now don't get me wrong, if the service is great I have no problem in tipping 10% and above, but to have it forced upon you is completely unnecessary and guarantees...More

I've eaten at Malmaison several times now, and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food. Some features that I like: - Cosy and intimate atmosphere, interesting decor (the place used to be a prison and they've kept the layout intact). - Delicious...More

The restaurant is downstairs within the lovely Malmaison hotel (set in a former prison!) and the main bar and restaurant is in a calm/romantic setting, with dimmed lights. Adjacent to the bar is a more lit, snug type room with tables and chairs, where you...More

This is an amazing hotel and although you would expect to pay 'hotel' prices for a meal in superb surroundings you would also hope for bigger portions and better service to back up the extra expense. An order was incorrect and a portion of fish...More

Lucky we booked for Easter Monday as there must be about 40+ tables and only one other was occupied Arrived a few minutes early at the unusual prison conversion. The menu isn't cheap but very interesting My starter was tempura calamari and prawns, both very...More

Me and my boyfriend went for my birthday dinner in this restaurant. Although is not very big it has a very nice atmosphere. Food was very nice and I would reccomend this place for special occasions.

Dined here on the Sunday Stopover deal. Quite a good range of options although it is very grill heavy, which means prices are of course high! That said, high prices meant meeting the £75 spend to qualify for the £25 room deal was pretty easy....More

Malmaison Brasserie in Oxford once people were plotting to get out. Now theyre paying to get in. Set in a one-time prison where bad guys were detained at Her Majs pleasure, Malmaison Brasserie (part of the supersexy, supercool Malmaison hotel group) is now dedicated to your pleasure instead. The Brasserie has its own unique atmosphere thats a bit gothic and funky, very much stylish and modern. The menu boasts simple favourites prepared with consummate skill, like signature dishes.
