I would like to rate the food but we didn't get to eat anything! We arrived at 7:30 and waited 1hr 40 mins and still no hint of food! The Waiter told us after waiting an hour and 10 mins that the food would be 5-10 mins. It still had not arrived 30 mins after that. If only the Manager... More

We were very warmly welcomed by the manager on entering the restaurant, which has been recently refurbished. The interior has been nicely enhanced and with a great ambience. We especially loved the tree trunk room divider and the drop lights. The pizza we ate is one of the best we have ever tasted, the base and toppings were done to absolute... More

Went for a meal before a show at the theatre. On the whole it was not a bad experience for what is basically a pizza restaurant. The starter we had was mushrooms on a bread base which was tasty, but one of my wife's breads was cold. My wife had a fish skewers with a salad, which was nice but... More

The meal was good but the experience was nothing special really. We enjoyed the food but it was average. The service was good but again nothing memorable. Just an average chicken salad ! Don't think I would go back in a hurry.

Food was pleasant, not very different to pizza express but a bit more expensive. Food came quickly once ordered but took ages to pay and get seated as there appeared to be only one waiter working the whole restaurant. Kids were given menus, stickers and colouring crayons, which helped but service got seriously slow towards the end of our meal.

Had a good meal here with friends. For a big restaurant the toilets were pretty bad however. Very run down and dirty. Staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere was pretty nice

Description
At Zizzi we like to do things a little differently. We don’t do over-complicated recipes or scrimpy portion sizes. We’re all about the well-chosen ingredients, simply put together to make exceptional Italian food.Located on busy George Street, Zizzi Oxford is close to the bus and railway stations in the centre of town and in the heart of the theatre and cinema district. The restaurant itself is heavily influenced by local legend C.S. Lewis, writer of one of the most popular books of all time, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Silver birch trees referencing the forest scenes from the book and lighting features alluding to the snow drops in Narnia welcome diners. So, whether it's for a business meeting, a family get-together, a party or a romantic meal, the team at Zizzi in Oxford looks forward to your visit. And if you’re celebrating something special, see if our private dining area is right for you.
