A very good traditional pub, with honest food at a fair price and nice service too. Located in the heart of Oxford.

If you are a fan of Inspector Morse and in Oxford, you will find yourself in this pub. It has the old English pub charm, wood and brass as far as the eye can see. Unfortunately, the visual feast did not match the culinary one....More

Hello Sorry you did not enjoy the food. Did you tell the staff? We would of course exchanged or at least dealt with the issue. There is nothing we can do now which is a great shame but apologise.

Hello Quite a lengthy review which I’m confused as to why you did not say anything on the day! We don’t bite. Far from it. Our very approachable manager or staff would have dealt with this immediately and changed or added to your dish. I...More

Very traditional little pub. It was busy when we went on a Saturday. Really nice friendly staff & atmosphere. We did get a seat and enjoyed a little tipple or two! Lots of Morse & Lewis decor.

It's small but we just walked in. I'd suggest at that time it might pay to try and book.
