This pub is possibly the best in the centre of Oxford. We have had lunch here on very many occasions and have never been disappointed. This place has a good "local" atmosphere; tourists are few in number, the beer is very good and reasonably priced,...More

This is a great pub that offers an authentic-feeling Oxford experience. We had sandwiches for lunch that were mediocre at best, but I got the feeling food isn't high on their list of specialties! Overall, a fun experience.

Part of St John's College, the Lamb and Flag has the intriguing feel of a student bar about it. Decorated with trophies from rowing, there is a good selection of beers and a limited lunchtime menu, which includes sandwiches, baked potatoes with a variety of...More

12 o'clock opening so get there early and take in the great interior and welcoming staff. Wonderfull beer selection, Old Peculier and Palmers of Bridport to mention a few. Nice area, just away from the bustle. It should be on your list.

We nipped in here for a cold drink while exploring the city and it has bags of character, as well as the decorations of various insignia on the outside which is appealing. Less so the notice pinned to the rafters warning you about pickpockets, but...More

Visited here as it is on route to Pitt Rivers it is clearly popular as the first two bars were full, if you go towards the toilets there is a small seating area which is a bit abandoned compared to the rest of the pub....More

Sampled this pub on a recent visit to Oxford. There was an excellent selection of real ales available. Although we went on the Park & Ride bus there is a public car park outside. It is nicely decorated and easy to access on foot from...More
