Used to love this place, worked there in my late teens. Have been a semi regular customer since. The ambiance of the place is great and the people you see in there are often interesting. However, It's gone downhill somewhat since its early years Ordered...More

We went in for lunch, and had good home made butternut squash soup and a lovely peach bellini. The service was efficient and friendly and the atmosphere was warm and inviting.

Many great reviews have been written about The Grand Cafe. Here are two observations. They really do serve an excellent cup of Turkish coffee (which is appropriate since they have been doing it for hundreds of years). And the staff was very friendly and welcoming,...More

We went to have an afternoon tea and we really enjoyed the food, the tea and the atmosphere. The people seems to be happy and enjoying their time also. I will come back.

Me and four friends visited for brunch and were drawn in by the lovely decor. It wasn’t busy so we were seated and served pretty quickly, no complaints about the speed. But the fact that two staff were just hovering around our table the whole...More

We visited Oxford for the day and popped in here for lunch. The prices are a little above average and the servings and average size. We enjoyed what we chose to eat and drink. The tables are a bit close to each other but quite...More

Nice helpful service and a nice place to sit. If you have mobility issues please attract staff attention there's no bell but you will have no issues once up the steps.

We visited here during a weekend away in Oxford. We had to queue for 5 minutes but that was fine. The tea tasted very good, and pastries excellent. There is also a good choice of wines and cocktails. It was quite cramped so you won't...More

Dogs are not allowed in the Grand Cafe. It's not that big and tables are close together. However, there is a lovely cafe in Bath, should you visit there called Cafe Luca and they certainly do allow dogs but then it's a... More
